Car & Driver and Autoweek, I've been subscribing to auto mags since the late 60's and little by little a whittled in down to those. I gave up on R & T years ago, MT had credibility problems with me once I realized that they sold the "Car of the Year" award, and Automobile has no appeal to me. I might take a look at EVO again, considering all of the positive responses.

Wow, some of you guys must spend a thousand a year on magazines!

Glad others like the C&D and AutoWeek combo.

No...you don't have to spend a fortune on subscriptions. Just subscribe to a couple of them, find some guys that subscribe to others, and trade back-and-forth. And there are always the magazine websites too.

I was spending a lot until I started subscribing. Cuts down on spending bigtime!

I spend very little, I can usually finish them at the magazine racks in the bookstores. I just buy one occasinally that has some good info or pics in it that I really want. And you can always check their websites too.

At one point, I subscribed to Car & Driver, Motor Trend, Road & Track, Autoweek and Sport Rider.

Now, I just have C&D, Autoweek and Sport Rider. I dropped MT and R&T. Not really sure why. I just like C&D better for some reason.

I also noticed that 2 of these 3 mags seem to have the same cars in the same issue. Are they somehow related? Do manufacturers provide them with the same car around the same period of time?

I also remember when either MT or R&T went to a larger size mag (no longer 8.5 x 11). Soon after they made their change, I dropped them. Wasn't really feeling it. I keep them in a book bag that I bring to/from work so I can read on the train. But with the larger format, it didn't fit right.

It seems like quite a few of you like SCC. Many years back, I subscribed to Super Street, but after a year or two, I find them being real boring. After that incident, I didn't feel like giving another "ricer" mag a try. But I guess I'll look into SCC.
