If the car was black, or white, it would be just *stunning*. I've always appreciated MB interior schemes. Always an awesome sight.
But to me, the red interior and red exterior is just too much. Hehe there's just too much red...
I mean don't get me wrong, I still think it rocks...
But it would rock harder with a white exterior... Mmmm....
All in all congrats on the car. Few cars hurt my neck and the SL55 was one of them.

Thanks guys. Yea I'm swtiching the floormats to black ones, and I will be trading in the car in for a black. Was thinking maybe a metallic or something but the pure, straight black I think just brigns out the lines more so, has a better contrast, and is just simply sexy. Your thoughts, I saw pics of it on ebay. Here's one , not the greatest though.

I personally think that's a very nice color combination. It's rare, classy and very elegant looking.
Black and silver SLs are everywhere here in So. California. They're simply too common. Black is hard to keep clean as well. Therefore if it were up to me I would just keep this red one.
The only thing that I may do to it is changing the floor mats to black ones. I think that's going to make a huge difference to the observing eyes.

I think the red is awesome - but I agree that the interior is almost too much. Although it could be a little costly, I think the best looking thing to do would be changing the carpets out to black (not the floormats, but the actual carpets).
If you do get a black one - it's cool as long as you keep the red interior, that is still a nice color scheme
