SC430 Guy

Hey guys, just got rid of my SC430 red on black, and just got an '05 SL55. Wondering what your thoughts are of the color scheme, Mars Red on Berry/Charcoal. Not sure if I like it as much as I thought I would of, thinking I should of gone with a black with red interior. Would love to hear your thoughts and insight. If you want more pics let me know, I only know how to post a pic at a time. Thanks.

That red is a hot and somewhat rare color on the SL (most of the ones I see around here are in some silver variation). The red interior doesn't look too bad; it has just a light shade of darkness to it, which I like better than the "flashy" look. I think in time you will grow used to it

the sl55 is hot, i can stay with the color

but then in terms of color, i probably think it's too much. red interior is too "hot" for me personally

that's why i dont' like the new PB edition

I think it looks perfect. We had a therad here saying Benz has the best/most color combos. The red on red with black is rare, rare, rare. Makes a statement.

really depends on your taste and preferences...if re-sell value is vital to you, silevr adn blk would be the best...but hey..you only live once..(well in this life time that is)...

i have seen this car in many different color combo..they all looked GREAT..berry/charcoal is HOT..HOT

Great car SC430 Guy!! GS4Will is right about the tougher resale on red(and on green too Ive noticed) but if you can afford that car the resale price difference between that color and another probably wont mean that much to you. Again, great vehicle!

Car is hot ! But I agree the red interior is a bit too much, I think if the carpet is black I'd like it better.

I think Sexy has an excellent idea. I agree that having the carpet match the grey or black would tone down the whole too-much-red impact, and would add a lot of definition to the shapes in the interior.

This is a change that would not cost much to implement, and you could always go back to the red later (I would think) -- and it would be much easier to keep the black carpet looking clean! (I know, I have the "ecru" carpets in my SC.)

Yeah...nice color combo. There's too many silver / black M-B products out there. Gets boring after awhile.
