Wow ... is that your truck?

If so - I hope everyone along for the ride made it out alright.

What in the world could do that to a Suburban?

Looks like a huge tree fell on it or something. I hope know one was in it at the time, or they are no longer with us.

In perusing the local bone yards I see sights like this all the time.

At the risk of generalizing and blatantly disclosing my bias...

This is what happens when you have a big *** truck and think you need to drive it everyday and use it as a commuter vehicle. This is what happens when you drive this rig as if it were a car. This is what happens when you try to avoid an accident in a cumbersome, overweight heap that can't manuever it's way out of danger. This is what happens when daddie buys his 16 year old daughter an SUV because it's "safer".

This is what happens. And at the expense of whom?

Why, the rest of in cars, of course! Either directly when they hit us, or indirectly thru higher insurance premiums, bigger tires in our landfills, and more tailpipe emissions.

The SUV trend in this country blows, and hard. Drive one only if you need to.

Again, I'm just bias. Please no flames, I'm just an angry guy in a car.
