If you're talking about the 2004 J D power dependability survey (3 year old vehicles). Lexus is first, Porsche is only tenth :

Anybody notice the typo they made classifying the Tundra and F-150 as "Minivans"?

Don't forget...the data for this chart is basically 3 years old. Whenthe data for newer cars comes out you are going to see worse rakings both both BMW and Mercedes-Benz, and much higher rankings for both Hyundai and Kia.

No, this is the latest, newest data for 2004, but it is for 3-year-old cars. For JDP, they have different studies for initial quality(First 3 months) & Longer-term (3 years) dependability. The longer term reliability survey is more relevant in measuring the vehicles' reliability.

The deisel engines in American Ford vehicles, like the Excursion, are incredibly bad. They're complete trash, actually, so that's probably what put the Excursion in that list.

They should have actually created a separate category for it called "Buses and Mass Transit."

Talk about total domination.

The LS430 is no longer on the very top of the sedan list. It's topped by even the RL! Lexus needs to make sure that their flagship sits on top of every god-da*ned list.

Also, didn't the Impreza just appear on the 2004 Lemon List? How does it make it to this list anyway?

BTW, here's the link to the Detroit News article: http://www.detnews.com/2004/autosins...b01-328882.htm
