we don't get that model in the US. It will probably be sold here as the 06 Lexus IS.
I know oversees the Mark II makes has a 2.5L Turbocharged setup good for 280hp.

Thanks for the pics, the new model looks very nice.

I like it a lot. They should of used more cues on this for the next GS and it would of been stunning.

Aren't they seperating the Toyota models from the Lexus models in Japan starting next year as well ? I would think (at least I hope) the new IS will be different from this.

I like it, but the athlete is better. If only the athlete could be our new GS and the Mark X can be the IS

Yep Russian it is

I think MaJesta is the best car by number of reliable features and techno gismos (aka testing ground). Celsior (LS) is second best - it's more luxurious but has less features.

I think Toyota said something like that. I would imagine here in the US designers will redisign the body panels, interior, and suspension tune.

It doesn't make sense for Toyota to spend $250million+ just on additional R&D, plus much more to retool production facilities to build a diffrent platform.

Toyota already has difficulty producing enough cars to keep up w/demand. I don't think they want to complicate things, there are just plenty of higher priorities for Toyota.

Japanese have diffrent tastes compared to Americans, which is why Toyota can sell the Altezza and Mark II (two diffrent platforms),

side profile looks alot like the 5-series, and 06 GS.
