Poor 5.0(and I do mean the car )
Anyone else here like these style 5.0s?I used to have one of these with a 300hp crate motor and five speed. It ran 12.80 1/4 mile all day long. They are a blast.

damn... thats an FHP. Hope they made it out ok. by the looks of it they were going kinda fast. They now have Z28 Camaros. the Floriday Highway Patrol got some of the last Camaros ever made... those biotches are FAST!

That was my 2nd car! My very first car was an 89 LX notchback with the 2.3 ltr. 4 cyl. engine, what a POS. 0-60mph in 19 seconds, 1/4 mile forget it. A couple months later I got an 89 LX 5.0 hatchback. That was one of the funnest cars I've had. I learned all about fuel injection and how an engine works with this car. I used to religiously read Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords and 5.0 Mustang. I put headers, Flowmasters (2 chamber ), Vortech MAF, BBK throttle body, Cobra intake, increased timing, etc. etc. It was an automatic and it ran 14.2 at 98. After that tranny was repaired several times I installed the Cobra 5speed. I never took it to the track after I changed the tranny because the Brotherhood Raceway in So Cal closed down by then It was fast, but it was terrible to drive in rush hour traffic with a 5 speed and without air-conditioning.

I eventually had to get rid of her and I thought I would never have a low 14 second car again (thought I would grow up and lose the need for speed). Now I've got my GS4 and I got my 14 second car with a luxury car's clothing! I couldn't be happier (though my girlfriend would rather me consider her to be the cause of my happiness )

we got those here in cali too, i have seen quite a few of them. and yes, they are very very fast

yah, I love the notch back 5.0s. Light and fast. This is my idea of a classic stang.(1985-1993)
