OK...well, that's what is important.....that you're happy with it and it doesn't mess things up.
45 PSI max on the sidewall is about the highest I've seen for regular car tires.
The quality of the roads makes a big difference too. What will work on the glass-smooth across the Sun Belt just won't cut it on the awful roads in snow-belt states like Ohio, Michigan, New York, etc....
That's one reason that European-market cars tend to have stiffer suspensions and tires than U.S.-market cars. European roads, on the average, tend to be smoother.

I have 19" rims and my wheel professional strongly reccomended 41psi for me. This is for the sake of not bending my rims as well as not risking my tires being under inflated.
