Yes.......I'll buy that, except to put the Covette in front of the Viper. Vipers can be quality and reliability nightmares.....I've known people who have owned them. Corvettes, in spite of their rattles and squeaks, are screwed together considerably better than Vipers

How about the Focus RS8? lol Hey Ford will make it for you for $105k, 4.4 0-60, the ultimate sleeper! Heres a MT comparo of the Focus RS8 vs. the '04 Lamborghini Gallardo...

If I haaad the $ to buy an American supercar, it would be the S7
I saw an episode, couldn't remember what show-I think on Fine Living-how billionaires spend the $.
A guy just bought an S7, one year waiting period, flew to Ford HQ where they unveiled it to him sitting in a showroom, not like your typical dealer's lot. That's exclusive, but I'm sure you fork over your own expenses to get there....
On a side note, I see Maybachs on the lot, so when you want to buy, are there any special treatments?

I recently saw the first crashed S7- not a pretty site! I took my dad on a tour of the Saleen facility last summer when he and my mom were visiting from Richmond, VA. Got a neat picture of the old man standing next to a new "Lizstick Red" S7 (Steve Saleen's wife's name is Elizabeth, she chose the color- a really neat burgundy/candy red pearl metallic!).

One of the problems with the S7 has just been its lousy marketing....which has been virtually nonexistant outside of a few enthusiast auto mags and forums like this one. Few people outside the auto press are even aware of this car and fewer yet can actually afford one new. Those few who can are generally buying Ferraris and Porsche Turbos.

S7 is way cool but I would get the Ford GT over the S7. It's 140k and does 200 mph. S7 has too many air vents....plus it costs way too much for an american car has the right to cost.

We're waiting for the 05 GX to come out, so have to wait for pricing from Longo.

I DO know, though, that CA real estate prices are just outlandish....and ours here in this area are getting almost as bad. All stems from supply-and-demand......CA and the D.C area are both two places where people just WANT to live....and are willing to pay for it.
If you deal with Longo, check out a saleslady named Liz. I don't personally know her, but there are a lot of nice things said on the CL forums here about her....apparantly she is excellent at her job and deals very well with customers.
