Default Check out my X-Runner

I just made a post in another thread, but It'd be better to start a new one.
Well my name is Robert I used to post here a while back as trdmcv20. I had a 99 camry XLE V6. I post alot on Toyotanation, SN is trdcamry2003. I thought you guys might be interested in some pics of the truck. I took these pics after a couple of layers of Zaino.

I got hooked up with Rotora and they used my truck to take measurements for two big brake kits. The first one is going to be a 14.2" kit using 6 piston calipers. This kit is for the people who want to run the stock 18's. Then theres the 16" kit with 8 piston calipers, which I will be running. I'm going to go with either the 5Zigen Hyper 5ZR in 20" or the AXIS reverbs in 20" . The TRD big brake kit will be a rebadged stoptech unit utilizing a 13" rotor with a 4 piston caliper. I also plan on getting a Carbon Fiber Tonneau cover for the bed.

The sound system will consist of either the Eclipse AVN2454 with built in Navi or the AVX2494 with the built in 20GB HDD with navi add on. I am waiting til after April until they redesign them with 5V preouts compared to the now .8V preouts. For speakers I will be running a set of DLS iridium 3 ways with the 8" midbass. Or the CDT eurosports. Amps are going to be the Arc Audio 4150xxk for the front components running bi-wire 2 channels to the mids and highs and the other 2 channels to the 8" midbass's. The sub is going to be the Image Dynamics IDMAX 12" Running off an Arc Audio xxk1500d or xxk2500 In a custom fiberglass enclosure. I'll be using an Audicontrol DQX to handle the equalization. The whole truck will be soundproofed with raammat60 and insulating foam.

Here's the pics. Theres also pics of my 99 camry XLE V6 with custom Spectra Blue Mica paintjob and 18" Ace Spiders.

Hey Robert,

Welcome back! We don't allow two different IDs on our forum. I'd suggest you continue using the old one and I can change the screen name if you like to this one (which I'll inactivate).

Please PM me asap and let me know.

Hey robert, I didn't know you were on here too. I was on TN too, the one that messaged you about the Akebono's brake kit information...

Awesome truck by the way.

Oh man, beautiful choice. I really like it. If you don't mind me asking, did you get it around MSRP? It really is a gerat deal for a nicely performing truck.

Congragulations. Yes, the 2005 Tacoma is a much nicer truck than its predecessor. Especially with the X-Runner and the other upmarket versions, I think we're going to see a major change in the Tacoma's customer base......from those guys who just wanted a cheap, durable, plain, bouncy-riding work truck that would run for 300,000 miles to guys like you who want a nice show truck for its looks and that also has a little kick to it.

You know the break-in rules for a new vehicle, don't you...especially for engine and brakes? They have been posted numerous times here on the forums. If not, PM me and I'll give them to you.
Good luck.

Good luck.

Thanks, the new Tacomas are pretty nice but they are having they're share of new model bugs that they have to work out.

The older ones are bulletproof.

Break in rules? Run it hard the first 20 miles?

Hotness. I see you like blue cars that stand out. For example, the Camry and the 4Runner in the background of one of those pics. They all look good.

Whats the verdict about the Supercharger??

His Camry received a new paint job awhile back...
Kind of read it in the TN forum when he post up "I miss my Camry"

Thanks guys. Yeah I wish I still had the Camry. It was PIMP, I had the PS2 hooked up, pioneer 6 disc dvd changer, flip out pioneer. I yanked all that stuff tho so I still got it.

Got a FAT system planned for the truck
Eclipse AVN5495 DVD/Navi
DLS Iridium 8.3 8" 3 way component system
2 Image Dynamics IDMAX 12"
DLS or Arc audio amps
FULLY dampened and sound proofed using raammat60 bxt and eDead v3, and acoustical foam throughout.

It's gonna be sweet.
