Yeah electric cars are the way of the future IMO. With the many advancements in battery technologies today it's already possible to build one with range comparable to petrol cars and can be recharged to 80% of the capacity within 10 minutes (a full recharge will always take much longer though).

It just needs to get more mainstream buyers to lower the currently prohibitive costs of the batteries. And more recharging stations need to be built, of course.
