Default Classic body styles

Yea know..

Some cars just never go out of style. I mean take a look at the GS. The last few days I've been noticing more and more GSs, and that is just one body style that is very distinctive and just looks good even for its age.

Another one is the Porsche 911...

You guys have any to add?

The 1994-1999 Celica....that was a beautiful car. The Matchbox Hot-Wheels look-alike that replaced it in 2000 was a joke.

Othe beautiful cars, IMO, that never lose their charm are:

1961-1970 Jaguar XKE
1970-72 Datsun 240Z...I agree with the previous poster on this one.
1954-1957 Mercedes 190SL and 300SL...especially the gull-wings.
1952-1958 Jaguar XJ120 and 140.
1965-66 Ford Mustang fastback.
1967 and 2005 Ford GT

2001-2005 Pontiac Aztek (Hey, gotta have a little humor somewhere).

I've always liked the Triumph Stags, late 80's/early 90's Esprit Turbos, 8-series BMWs, 89 944 Turbos, 93.5 - 98 Supra TTs, DeTomoso Panteras, 1984 Ferrari GTO, I could honestly go on and on. But, how could I leave out the automotive love of my life; the SC400/300.

I'd go as far as to say any 1st gen lexus. Weither it be the SC or GS or LS they all are hot hot hot!!

10 year old car that still turns heads like its off the showroom floor... come on! Gotta give it up for the 1st gen GS/SC's

EDIT: Also add: MKIV Supra, RX7, and 300zx. I figured those were a given but I figured i'd give them the recognision they deserve.

Talking

I have long thought that the first generation SC will, in 30 years, be mentioned in the same breath with the Series I E-type Jag. Lexus, to date, hasn't produced anything style-wise that can touch it.

Apologies to previous posters, but a car must stand the test of time to be considered "classic"; if it ain't been around 30+ years, it generally ain't classic...........

Not a car I would drive but I have to add the VW Beetle. The first gen sold like hotcakes. A friend in college had one. He didn't take good care of it but it wouldn't die. We would go under the hood, tinker and it would crank up and go. The new model is a true evolution of the shape. Looks the same but modern.

Also want to add the Chevy Monte Carlo. That car had a beautiful shape with sexy lines. The current model does not have the sexiness like my old 73 and 77 had. My 77 was an Eddie Fisher edition, plush leather seats, thick pile carpeting, mesh wheels and thickly padded landau roof. It was sweet.
