OH OH OH can't wait!!! These trademark filings look so exciting!!!
I suppose the JX470 will NOT be a replacement to the LX, but a new LSUV placed above the LX, since it's basing on the Sequoia, which is bigger than the Land Cruiser.
I don't like the letter "J" though. It just doesn't seem to stand for anything meaningful and keeps reminding me of the horrible and now deceased Infiniti J.
Something like "UX" for Ultimate 4x4 would've been a much better choice IMO.

I like the UX designation too though, file the trademark yourself & try to convince Lexus to buy it from you.

Wait a minute!! What's this about? GM is only now filing trademark for the name "GMC"? That just doesn't make sense at all!! Really makes me question the credibility of this list now...

Gotta read the fine print - most of those trademark registrations are outside of NA.
For the folks who don't get the obvious, US = US, CA = Canada, EU = western Europe, CZ = Czech Republic - they must have some funny rules there especially now that they are part of EU, AU = Australia, NZ = New Zealand, DE = Germany, etc.
The addition of the IS350 does not automatically mean the next IS will be IS350 - Lexus still has the IS300 name to use.

Looking at the list, that means that they haven't registered trademarks for most of these in the US yet ... well, almost all of them. The only one they added was the IS350 for us US guys.

Um...I'm not sure what you mean, Brendan... For the US there are GS350, GS460, IS350, IS250, GS450h and JX470 that are registered. In fact, the only name that isn't registered in the US, quite reasonably, is the IS220d.
