this is the HILUX they got in south east asia market.

i havent drove this one but i have driven the pervious one (HLIUX TIGER) with D4D diesel engine when i went back this summer. diesel torque was pretty yummmy.

what do u think this one compare to the tacoma we get here?

somebody has been browsing the Toyota of Thailand site. . . not all asian Hilux's will look like that. . . Thailand has been known to tweak their domestic models; Corolla Altis, Camry, they are all very distinct from other models. The Thai Camry was the only one in Asia to receive the quad, LS400 look-a-like headlamps, a Mercedes ripoff grill, and rear fog lamps, similar in profile to the avalon tail lamps, but much sexier. . . it looked very tasty. The Japanese version was just a plain Camry. . . no different than ours in the US, but with a few extra options.

Body style wise I like the one we get here, but I would deal with the ugliness for the diesel.

The front end of that reminds me of the ugly new dodge durangos.
