Its a shame.... the styling seems like it had potential and just got jumbled up in BS....
It looks so damn tacky.
Funny thing is kids and women will buy this thing like crazy... No offense to my knowledgable car enthusiasts women on THIS forum

I think Audi is going to poop all over Mitsu for this one. From the side and rear it looks like they chopped off the TT back and just slapped it onto the Galant front. Stretched it out a bit, added a few lines from the new Cougar and BAM! You've got a new Eclipse ready to see itself down the drain.

What Mitsu needs to do now is keep the normally aspirated four as the GS version, yank the V6 out of the GT, and stick in the Evo's turbo 4-cylinder and AWD. This, IMO, would kill two birds with one stone. First, it would placate those Eclipse fans who still lament the loss of the old turbo GST and AWD GSX versions (those two cars were very popular with the tuner crowd). I liked those cars myself even though I thought they were very poorly built. Second, it would alleviate to some extent the supply-and-demand situation and price markups on the Evo, which has purposely been limited in its production.
LexusLuver, where do you get this "cute" and "female" car stuff? I've said it before...and I'll say it again.......this automotive stereotyping stuff is a bunch of nonsense. Car shoppers need to buy and drive what they want, what suits their purposes, and what they can afford. If that doesn't suit somebody else's "image" of what they should be driving....too bad.

I also agree that the 3rd-Gens went way downhill for several reasons, but don't you think this 4th-gen is a step back up....at least in looks? If you look at closely, it shares a lot of the 2nd-Gen styling, especially in the fenders, roof, and C-pillars. If you note my post above, all it needs now is a turbo4 AWD to bring back what Mitsu never should have dropped in the first place.
