I went to the LA autoshow yesterday and saw the m45. Damn its a hot *** car! It totally draws a crowd and has alot of presence. Very beautiful car inside and out. The tails dont even seem as big in person than they do in pics.

You gotta wonder about the validity of that....

From what I've been reading, the G's and FX's have gotten "Excellent" long-term test ratings.

I can NOT wait to get my issue of MOTOR TREND that reads: "Battle of the Sport Luxos!"

Did ya skip the winter floor mats? You must have cause otherwise; you got every stinkin option available!

Seriously, the car in its base form for $49K with sports package is incredible. Add on the "normal person options" (sorry Dave) and then a couple of cool ones and you are at $57ish for a car that has almost everything out there.

I fear that the new GS will not have the technology of the new M and might be priced similar. That will mean two things
1. The new GS won't sell as well
2. The new GS will be more reliable

Of course Toyota is not stupid, if their car does not have the technology of the new M then they "should" price it less and we all win.

Personally, I'm waiting for the C&D Shootout where they compare the A6, STS, GS, M, 545, and E500 (no word on if they will do it). My fearless prediction of rankings is
1. M45
2 (tie) GS & A6
4. 545
5. STS
6. E500

Wouldn't be surprised if they did a "Sport Lux AWD InvASIAN -- battle of the RL, GS300 AWD, and M35x" after they do the "V8 SHOOTOUT!!!" as doug suggested. doug, I wouldn't be surprised if you're right on about the rankings either.
