Default Naias 2005

I'm heading to Detroit soon. If anyone has any picture requests, let me know. I realize that there have already been a lot of photos from press releases, websites, etc., but if there's a specific angle or anything else you want a close-up of, don't hesitate to let me know. I'll do my best to snap a couple shots off.

Would love to see ALL the Infiniti M35's and M45's. They may have more than one. Thanks.

I love that orangy/brown leather on the S60R, but this one in the M-class is a lot brighter and a hell of a lot uglier. The wood dash doesnt help either. That color leather needs aluminum trim to compliment it well. Other than that, damn nice car. I just dont like the ceiling TV monitors. They block the rear mirror. Prefer headrest monitors. But hey, at least they offer one.

I had no clue that the Shelby concept is going to replace the GT. I never really read up on it, but I think it looks good. I guess I was too excited about the Lex Super Coupe and Jag Sports Car to even read up on this thing.

Yes, the concept will replace the GT. That's according to my fellow car nut and Lex-head friend, who made the trip with me. We then confirmed it with a "Ford product specialist," who to our surprise seemed very in tune with what was going on (this in contrast to the typical clueless salesman that attends the show. Case in point the supposed "manager of the largest Acura dealership in Michigan." I asked him a couple questions about the NSX, V8, and large flagship sedan possibilities from Acura, and he answered very curtly before getting all flustered and saying, "Okay, nice talking to you," as I was in mid-sentence). I asked about 3-4 people before asking him why Ford doesn't bring the Euro Focus over here and everyone, including he, said they had no clue why. The guy did suggest emailing Bill Ford, though, as he said they originally weren't planning on making the GT a production car. It was only after a big email campaign that they were convinced of the public appeal. Perhaps an even larger email campaign will convince them to bring over the Euro Focus, a car that by and large is the primary reason why Ford has a better reputation in Europe than it does here in the US.
