Default Hamann- out of business?

My good buddy has a hamann built e39. Everything damn mod on the car(over 30k worth) is haman or was done by hamann...e.g big brembo brakes.
Anyways, he told me that hamann is now out of business. Am I the only one whose heard of this?

I may be wrong...?

i didn't hear anything about hamann, but if it is true, then this is like the third car aftermarket busniess to go out of business recently.

Wow...Wings West had been around quite a while. They were one of the first to get in on the tuner craze. That's probably why they had problems, sticking to close to tuners. I tried to get them to do some high end stuff years ago but no go.

Asanti was relatively new. I'm sure they are connected with another wheel company but the Asanti line wasn't around too long. I like several of their wheels though. Just recently I read where Lowenhart is the company that created the Maya wheels. The Asanti folks are probably lurking somewhere around.

BTW...I asked the question about Hamann going under on the E46Fanatics site. The responses were overwhelmingly no. One of the responders is a wheel supplier. He might know more than most of us.
