Default German cars stuck in flood (pics)

Found this from .NET. Imagine going to your car in the parking lot, and the next thing you see is the lot completely flooded!

Those poor Audis and BMW's Link to original article here.

That's a BIG insurance claim. Hope the deductible is low.

Does anyone remember that freighter that had like 400 BMW's, Audi's and SAABs that sank on it's way over here? Something like that. Horrific.

In some cases they can still be sold, but with special price discounts and extended warranties as flood-damaged cars. There is no one set policy on this...it varies from state to state and with the auto manufacturer.
I'm with 1SICK on this though.....even though I don't care for Chris Bangle BMW's or the new Audi grilles, the sight of seeing something like that is quite sad. Not only is that an expensive group of cars, but a lot of factory workers put time and effort into building those cars....and truck, train, and ship operators into delivering them to the dealership.

Almost brings to mind the incident a few years ago when a large container ship went down in the North Sea off the British coast with a bunch of new European cars on board....mostly Volvos and Audis.

Crazy, that's sad. There's a C4 Corvette there, that's probably quite rare in Germany, sure it had a very loving owner.

Wait, matter of fact, that last pic has to be in America. I spy a Corvette, a Chrysler, and a Suburban...what are the odds of them being lined up like that in Germany?

I also wonder why all the Audi hoods are popped.

I think what was meant was the majority of the cars in the lot were Audis and BMWs so that's why the thread was named so.
