A couple are here in Atlanta. Seems some companies use them for couriers. Benz had said they were officially bringing them here but they just stated they eitehr won't or it will be awhile.

They were popular in Italy over 4 years when I was there. My cousin who was 6'5" at the time spread his wingspan and it was about the length of the Smart car. Crazy things.

One has to see it in person to appreciate its size.

A CA entrepenour found a way to cheaply mod the existing Smart to meet US specs and is selling them. There was an article on it recently.

Actually Daniel Panoz came to give a speech at GaTech and he made a comment about operating a company in downtown Atlanta to rent Smarts as daily commuters.. the idea is to take MARTA <subway system> to downtown and as you get off certain stations, you could rent one for the day or hours say to go to work, a meet or whatever business you gotta do.. That to promote more people to use MARTA instead of driving to downtown to ease traffic and, if you were to drive in downtown, the Smarts are a lot smaller than a regular car anyways.. They have been testing cars around downtown to study the idea.

They are already selling them in Canada. Personally I don't care for them.
