2007 model year
-current G has been on the market an incredible 25 years
-the next G-Class will be produced in the United States at the Alabama DaimlerChrysler plant.
-Power will come from two diesels: 231-hp V-6 and 300-hp V-8.
-Two new V-8 gas engines: 326-hp 4.6-liter and 408-hp, 5.5-liter
-The AMG version is rumored to deliver 460 hp.
- Daimler Chrysler has developed a special top-of-the-line off-road package for the new G.

It may have lost the classic G-Class style but I have no doubt MB will keep it one of the most capable off-roaders.

I'm looking at the spy pic of the Gwagon, and I see a lot of Jeep Grand Cherokee in the shape of the car and esp. the doors.
Well, that about confirms it...
