[QUOTE=sweetsc400]It seems like BMW is coming out with so many new engines all the time. Where do they find the time for research and development. No wonder they're quality is .

I guess it looks a little "cleaner" after the changes, but it doesn't look that much more different than the 02 styling.

actually BMW's have had many different engine displacements throughout its past. but now they are just keeping it simple. heres a breakdown

3 Series
325i/325Ci/325CiC/325ix/325ixT = 2.5L Inline 6 Cylinder 184 horsepower 175 ft/lb torque
5 Speed Automatic/ 5 Speed Manual Rear Wheel Drive, 4 Wheel Drive (ix Models)
330i/330Ci/330CiC/330xi = 3.0L Inline 6 Cylinder 225 horsepower 214 ft/lb torque (330i/Ci ZHP = 235 horsepower)
5 Speed Automatic/ Sequential Manual Gearbox/ 6 Speed Manual Rear Wheel Drive, 4 Wheel Drive (xi Models)

5 Series
525i = 2.5L Inline 6 Cylinder 184 horsepower, 175 ft/lb torque, 6 Speed Automatic, 6 Speed Manual Rear Wheel Drive
530i = 3.0L Inline 6 Cylinder 225 horsepower, 214 ft/lb torque, 6 Speed Automatic, 6 Speed Manual Rear Wheel Drive
545i = 4.4L V8 8 Cylinder 325 horsepower, 330 ft/lb torque, 6 Speed Automatic, 6 Speed Manual Rear Wheel Drive

6 Series
645Ci/645CiC = 4.4L V8 8 Cylinder 325 horsepower, 330 ft/lb torque, 6 Speed Automatic, 6 Speed Manual

7 Series
745i/745Li = 4.4L V8 8 Cylinder 325 horsepower, 330 ft/lb torque, 6 Speed Automatic
760i/760Li = 6.0L V8 8 Cylinder 438 horsepower, 444 ft/lb torque, 6 Speed Automatic

M Series
M3 Coupe/Convertible = 3.2L Inline 6 Cylinder 333 horsepower, 262 ft/lb torque, 6 Speed Manual

X3
2.5i = 2.5L Inline 6 Cylinder 184 horsepower, 175 ft/lb torque, 5 Speed Automatic, 6 Speed Manual
3.0i = 3.0L Inline 6 Cylinder 225 horsepower, 214 ft/lb torque, 5 Speed Automatic, 6 Speed Manual

X5
3.0i = 3.0L Inline 6 Cylinder 225 horsepower, 214 ft/lb torque, 5 Speed Automatic, 6 Speed Manual
4.4i = 4.4L V8 8 Cylinder 315 horsepower, 324 ft/lb torque, 5 Speed Automatic
4.8is = 4.8L V8 8 Cylinder 355 horsepower, 369 ft/lb torque, 5 Speed Automatic

Z4
2.5i = 2.5L Inline 6 Cylinder 184 horsepower, 175 ft/lb torque, 5 Speed Automatic, 5 Speed Manual
3.0i = 3.0L Inline 6 Cylinder 225 horsepower, 214 ft/lb torque, 5 Speed Automatic, 6 Speed Manual

theres everything that is known thus far, but cant wait until the 05-06 M6's come out soon enough

when the E60 M5's come out its going to be a beast V10 N/A 7 Speed SMG trans, cant wait, i think MSRP is close to or over 100k.
