New Lexus News
Sorry, busy Superbowl weekend.
First off, the RX400H is in car mags on store shelves. It is getting RAVE reviews. The RX has re-invented luxury and this segment AGAIN. The best time, 0-60 in 6.9 baby!!! Look here for more

Second, the GS ads are in effect, in the front page of Car and Driver and inside Automobile(both March). They show the GS parked between a Satrun SC1 and a old 1st gen Taurus and a buildings glass in the background. The GS's reflection in the mirror shows a moving GS at speed! Very clever. At the bottom
[FONT=Garamond]The entirely new 300-Horsepower GS 430. The next phenomenon from Lexus.
Automobile reports the NEXT hybrid will be a new 4.5 liter V-8 to deliver V-12 performance in the next LS sedan.
Automobile also interviewd Jim Press, Executive VP, Toyota Motor Sales. He says Lexus philosoply is to "zero-nize" all negatives of the automobile, Accidents, Emissions, High Fuel Compensation. He says "we'll maxi-mize PERFORMANCE, the thrill of driviing, and our traditional comfort and value.
They ask him about the Ultra Luxury car from Lexus:
There's a lot of discussion about it. Personally, I don't feel that the company's ego needs to be exercised by offering a car that just has a lot of content and cost without being a Lexus of the category. To me it's better to make a statement with philosophy, not just hardware. I'd rather see the ultimate hybrid automobile, the best of all worlds, "zero-nize" and "maxi-mize".
