Default Anyone have the pics of the flying Lexus crash?
This happened I believe in El Monte a couple years ago with some young kid driving a new Lexus and flew off the exit ramp and landed on top of some pre-owned Lexus models at the Longo dealership? Anyone happen to still have the story and pictures?

If this were true, someone from Longo should've heard something about the incident . . .

This was a true story. It was published in the LA Times. In a nutshell the guy basically lost control of his car he just bought (i believe it was also from Longo) going at about 70mph off the N. Peck Road off ramp from the 10 frwy. Those who know this exit can concur. Basically, the guy hit a metal gate that they use to close off the entry way with in front of the guard shack, rode it like a skateboard launched and landed on 3-5 vehicles which were all total losses. They found the guy to be intoxicated.

Lexus' Crash Landing


The sales staff at this Lexus dealership speak 20 languages, but even they were lost for words when a customer pressed the throttle instead of the brake of his new GS430, hit an entry ramp at 85mph and flew into a row of cars. Amazingly, no one was injured, but the motors were less fortunate: 18 were damaged, including six write-offs, and the Californian dealer now faces a massive repair bill.
