Its designed by Ian Callum, the guy behind the Astons. Jag NEEDS to get sexy quick as they are now an "also ran" when it comes to luxury cars.

Actually, market-wise, Jag has it made, at least to some extent....Jags appeal to more people and sell more vehicles than ever before. However, as you suggest, they are somewhat of an also-ran when it comes to prestige and the aura that used to surround the nameplate. And their cars, while definitely more reliable than back in the bad old days of Lucas electronics and crap-paper gaskets, are still well-below average in reliability, especially the AWD X-class.

Jaguar to unveil XK 4.2-S

Geneva, Switzerland - Jaguar will unveil new XK 4.2-S models at the Geneva International Salon.

Available as a coupe or convertible, with a naturally aspirated V8 or a supercharged one, the car is also upgraded inside with styling changes and premium equipment. "Last year we made sure that the XK range was able to stand the test of time with a wide range of exterior design changes such as a deeper mouth for the front air intake, new sills and a revised rear bumper and spoiler," says Jaguar Cars design director Ian Callum. "Now we have additional new unique colours and interior trims to allow customers to drive a Jaguar with a bespoke interior feel."

In recognition of Jaguar's racing heritage, special badging and accents will adorn all 2006 models, including the 4.2-S. Polished door treadplates feature chequered flag emblems, and there are leather-edged embossed floor mats. The revised white Jaguar badge features chequered flag accents on its sides, and the rear light clusters are darkened. Like other XK models, it will include advanced Dynamic Stability Control, Adaptive Cruise Control and Jaguar's Adaptive Restraint Technology System.

Good lord that blue coupe still looks fantastic. Jag insists on slapping 20s as options on the car and it destroys everything about the ride. They state they will continue with big wheels so hopefully the new car will work better with it.
