German motoring publication Autobild, are running these images of the forthcoming Porsche Panamera. If it rolls out of the factory like this, we think it’ll be pretty cool.

2008 Porsche Panamera

posted on 11.22.2006 06:00 By Simona Alina

The Panamera it is expected to debut in 2008. Porsche factory from Leipzig is going to produce 20.000 units per year. The German car manufacturer aims to create a completely new structure of the production of new Panamera, oppositely to all voices about some kind of cooperation between Porsche and some other car manufacturers, to take costs down.

The Panamera will be powered by a V8 front engine with an output of 340 hp or an optional 450-horsepower turbocharged engine. A more powerful version, arround 500 hp it is also expected.

Porsche Panamera look a bit like the evergreen 911, with the same soft shapes, over all on the front. In spite of it, this car is even 4.90 meters long, and its wheel-base from the front wheels and the rear wheels is about 2.90 meters long: this confirms a good usability also for four adult passengers, which is moreover guaranteed by its height, 1.45 meters.

I'm not a big fan of the taillights that Porsche likes to use on their cars/SUV, but I suppose they could be worse...

Those from Autobild look the best, & they have been quite accurate with some of their CGI's before.
I'd would be happy if the production version would look very close to either their older or their newest renderings above, rather than the others, or the test mule.

same here, i think the autobild one looks pretty nice, though some others are just horrible. honestly i haven't been (and still not) a bit fan of the style of cayenne and cayman, so i have to see how this plays out

the cayenne is just like 7 series to me, one of those things where after all the years i come not to hate them anymore. still it's very different from like it already when it comes out

hope the panamera is the later case
