No Rick...my garage is strictly for storage...these pics are from 6speed.

I still have too many SUV's in my garage to make this move just yet.

Default Tally Ho: Porsche delivers over 22,500 Panamera models in year one

Tally Ho: Porsche delivers over 22,500 Panamera models in year one

Perhaps on the corporate side Porsche hasn't had much to gloat about lately, but on the product side it's cigars and bubbly and told-ya-so's. When the Panamera took to the track it won its very first race in the Italian Supercar series, and that came just as the 25,000th four-door was being built at the Leipzig factory. It's a good thing the factory was working so hard: 22,518 of those Panameras have been sold after just a year on the market.

A finer peek into the numbers reveals the Panamera 4S is the sales king, followed by the Turbo and the Panamera S. And in the "No Surprise At All" file, Los Angeles leads individual markets with 890 deliveries.
Porsche Delivers 22,518 Panameras in First Year on the Market

Company's First Four-door Gran Turismo is in High Demand Worldwide

STUTTGART, Germany and ATLANTA, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Just one year after its initial market launch in Europe, the Porsche Panamera has exceeded sales expectations with customer deliveries of 22,518 internationally.

In the U.S., where Porsche's fourth model line was introduced in October of 2009, sales of the Panamera are already at 6,188. In Germany, where the Panamera is built at Porsche's production facility in Leipzig, 2,530 cars were delivered. These results come as Porsche is enjoying a strong initial customer response to the recently launched V6 Panamera models--a fact that attests to the successful development of an even larger customer segment for this sporty Porsche four door.

In major markets throughout the world, the Gran Turismo has found a large number of fans. As expected, interest in the four-seater is significant in Asia: 300 Panamera models were delivered in Hong Kong, 223 in Tokyo and 188 vehicles were delivered in Shanghai, where the Gran Turismo was initially unveiled in April 2009. Very gratifying figures were also reported by other cosmopolitan cities, such as Dubai (285), Moscow (203), and in Munich (196).

In the U.S., some 890 vehicles are already cruising the streets of Los Angeles and 760 on the streets of New York.

"Our corporate strategy of value-oriented growth has proven itself to be a successful model: With the Panamera, Porsche has clearly positioned itself with the sportiest automobile in the high-end and luxury-class market and achieves already a 13 percent share of its segment today," summarized Bernhard Maier, Member of the Management Board for Sales and Marketing of Porsche AG.

There are five models available in the new Gran Turismo series: Panamera and Panamera 4 with 300 HP and a six-cylinder engine, Panamera S and Panamera 4S (400 HP and an eight-cylinder engine), as well as the Panamera Turbo (500 HP and an eight-cylinder engine). With 9,394 vehicles delivered worldwide, the Panamera 4S is at the head of the charts, followed by the performance-leader, Panamera Turbo (6,171 vehicles) and the Panamera S (4,563 vehicles). The six-cylinder-model Panamera, introduced only a few weeks ago, has already been delivered to 2,390 customers. The color selection also keeps Panamera drivers in line with the latest trends. So far, the most popular colors for the Gran Turismo have been basalt black metallic, carrara white and carbon grey metallic.

The Panamera Turbo can be customized to your personal tastes with a 40 HP performance enhancer, as well as a sport design package. In addition, the Porsche Exclusive and Porsche Tequipment packages are available for each model as add-ons to the standard series equipment to make your vehicle even more personal.

Was in LA for 2 weeks and saw plenty of these. Gorgeous cars, particularly when modified with 22s and maybe some added body work (rear wing in particular).

I am considering the upcoming V-6 version, solid perfromance and fuel economy.

This really is a hot car. Rear could be improved but believe me, when you see it up close - its GREAT!

It rides on an optional 20 inch wheel with a 40 and 35 sidewall. Very tall for a 20" wheel.

whne I was in LA, I visited Platinum Motorsport in Hollywood (Melrose Ave and also Sunset Ave.) and they, of course, do a lot of Panameras for the Ballers and all their rides had 22s and they looked awesome. Some whote car with Gloss Black wheels, some with Matte black wheels, others with high polish, others body colored.

Anyways, 22s fit this car perfectly and dramatically improve its sportiness & looks.

I saw a few Panameras with Mansory kits........................WOW!!!!
One in particular was amazing: white, with 22" black wheels, Mansory carbon fiber hood accent pieces, carbon fiber headlight trim, cf wing, cf front bumper etc.

I havwe many pics but have not yet uploaded anything..............been busy.

Is that an aftermarket wing or big rear lip of some kind. looks a bit different than the standard wing that comes out fo this vehicle.

If so, I like it, becuase this car looks even better when it has some sort fo rear wing treatment to balance off its rear-end.

Please continue to bump.....

Does anyone else wish it sat 5 in the rear? I don't get these big cars with 4 seats, I tend to use all 5 from time to time.
