HOLY ****! I'm in love with that car. I've been really wanting the current IS, but after seeing this.... i dunno.
So is the IS350 and 250AWD not gonna make debut till some US show i'm guessing later in summer or fall? I'm kind of anxious to know what kind of engines we're getting. Do you think the IS250 US version will only be 201hp like the euro? I mean... i'm sure the car would be fun to drive, but i don't think it'd be that quick with only 201. Someone correct me, but isn't the next 325i gonna have at least 220 or so?

I do hope Lexus surprises us in the US debut and bring out a IS300 that outputs the same 245hp as the new GS300 does. That'll nicely fill the huge gap between the IS250 and IS350.

Toyota is getting serious about Lexus. The previous IS was a rebadged Japanese-market Toyota. This all-new version has been designed from the wheels up as a Lexus, and it is planned as a deadly rival to BMW's new 3 Series. The big news for Europe is an all-new 2.2-liter I-4 diesel under the hood; diesels now account for more than 50 percent of all auto sales there. But U.S. spec IS models will all be powered by Toyota's new direct-injection gasoline V-6s. The 2.5-liter version delivers 204 horsepower (DIN), while the 3.5-liter will have about 280 horsepower. A new six-speed automatic transmission featuring sequential shift control will be standard.
The IS will also be available with the VDIM integrated vehicle dynamics management system featured on the new GS, adaptive cruise control, and Toyota's radar controlled Pre-Crash Safety system. No fewer than 10 airbags are standard. And this time, the IS moniker will be spread across a full range of vehicles, including a convertible, to truly compete with the 3 Series.

I sure hope Motor Trend's report is just a guess work and that the rumored 310+hp (mostly from Lexus insiders actually) is true.

Anybody have any idea whether they'lll have just a hardtop convertible version like the LF-C, or that they'll have a standard 2 door coupe as well ?? I think they should have both.
