Yes the 3MZ-FE in the Camry SE V6 and Solara SE V6 models can do upper 6 second range 0-60 time.

Even my old 1999 Solara SE V6 5spd Manual 1MZ-FE V6 w/200hp can do 0-60 about 0.2 seconds quicker.

Some auto mags did a write-up on this car.....I remember reading about it a couple of weeks ago, but for some strange reason the articles are not on websites. I will post the articles I read if I can find them.

flip.............if I knew you were going to drool THIS much over the car, I would have posted what little I found on it.

as a camry owner, i can truely say that this is the best one i ever seen, the wheels looks like the sportdesign wheels on the sportdesign ES. but anyways love the car! its awesome, just add more hp and bring it to the states and compete with the mazda madzaspeed6, and maybe the suburu WRX and Mitishibushi EVO

Compete with the Mazdaspeed6? Yes. An Evo or WRX? No..........not in my opinion. Granted, I am not an expert on the car... have only read a little about it......but this car is much longer than either the STi or Evo, will not have the manuverability, does not have the advantage of AWD, and is not starting from a rally-bred platform.

The Camrys at this end are all manufactured and imported from Australia, so the Australian and Middle Eastern Camry is essentially the same, with slight differences in trim level names and options (e.g. RHD/LHD). They come in 4 different trim levels (XLi, GLi, Touring and Grande) 2 of which (XLi and GLi) come with the 2AZ-FE 2.4L in-line 4 and the Touring and Grande models coming with the 1MZ-FE. The 3MZ-FE is unavailable (ES-Series also comes with the 1MZ-FE) except on the RX-Series which is the only vehicle equipped with the 3MZ-FE. I was asking about his earlier, but it just seems to be a regional decision. Is there a majorly noticeable difference when driving one equpped with the 3MZ-FE?

Apparently they were just released over here in Australia.

The one that I'm really liking is the Camry Sportivo (remember, we don't get the Solara over here in Australia). And yes we get jipped of performance cars here in Australia (what's new). One thing I'm really not feeling though is the front end of the supercharged Camry. I wouldn't mind a Camry Sportivo with the supercharger fitted up though

Cool

I'd still take a 2005 Camry V6 SE with the 3.3L V6 personally. Or just wait until next year for the next gen Camry with the new 3.5 V6!
