Hot Weather = freon refill...READ!
Most of us know the old cars from 10 years ago proior and had the classic R12 freon gas which in in recent years has run up to $600 for a 30- pound tank. Since I run a family owned shop it's time to stock back up on freon, the most common being the "newer" freon R134 which is what comes on cars stock today, and most older cars have been retrofitted from the R12 to the R134. Get this, last year our cost on a 30 pound tank of R134 was $80. THIS YEAR ITS $360 AND RISING WEEKLY!. Get ready for hefty A/C freon refills charges. Prices are up 450%. The reason being for this is DuPont the largest producer of freon has stopped producing R134 freon.
Just A FYI for ya guys.
