Good to live in America, isn't it?

I paid $2.17 for premium (91 octane) just yesterday.

Gas in the US is pretty cheap, unless you live in Saudi Arabia where it's in the line of 50 cents a gallon.

It just cost me $37.00 to fill up the SC today. I have to do that every 3 days because I drive 115-150 miles everyday.

So Richie, at $6+ a gallon I'm guessing people don't drive over there? Do you just have cars for show?

Or Venezuela where it's 17 cents.

Not anymore, you used to be able to fill up an LS for about $5 dollars (0.25/Gallon), now its about $17 (0.85/gallon).

Plus its 97 Octane

True....but it balances out some. Gas sells at $4-7 in Europe primarly because you guys get some other things at government expense that we don't.....European governments fund many things with those huge gas taxes.

There is quite a little bit of markup in gas, not tons, but it isn't being distributed for free. You Socal guy's have enough members to invest in a small gas station.

Well, that used to be the case. Expenses here are getting ridiculous.
For cars we also pay road tax and a 45% extra tax for new cars.

Default Try Europe....

8.12 a GALLON in England.

I recently had my cousin from York over for my brother's wedding and he couldn't get how much cheaper it is here!!!! (and we are complaining!!!)

But take into consideration, the average car is a 1.6 liter that gets about 45 miles to the gallon.

For instance, a mazada 3 series get around 30 miles to the gallon here, well its different i England. I haven't heard back from him yet but I think he said something like 40 mpg.

Also, try paying 25,000 pounds for a new mustang. 46,000 dollars. And that doesn't include importing taxes, blah, blah, blah.

So I think it is safe to say that we don't have it so bad after all.

Josh
