Cheap Shipping, Any Ideas?
I was wondering what types of shipping methods you all have used to keep costs down. Heavy and large parts can cost an arm and a leg to ship. I want to pick up an exhaust, but shipping gets pricey quick (almost as much as the exhaust itself). I was just wondering if anyone had any inovative ideas or got a good deal someplace. I heard of someone using greyhound to ship something?

I got a quote to have an exhaust shipped to me from Ca for around $25 by fedex. I havent had problems with UPS but if I am not home they leave the package sitting on my doorstep. I dont have crime in my neighborhood but I dont like the idea of anyone being able to pick something up that they left and me never knowing about it.

Im actually upset if they dont leave the package at my doorstep. They usually deliver at the same times anyway so you probably wont be there the next few attempts. Then I have to go down to the UPS place to pick the package up. I used to have them deliver it to work, thats so much better, someone is usually there.
Its great if you can have them specify what timeframe you want it delivered.

Using DHL has worked well for me. My best friend runs an eBay consignment business (Auctionetics) so whenever I need to ship something or have something shipped to me he uses Unishippers to get me an awesome deal (for example, he can quote regular DHL/UPS rates to customers and still make a nice profit on shipping).
