What are your votes for the funniest-looking production cars of all time?
Here are mine. I STILL bust out laughing even today, many years later, every time I look at them....especially the Isetta.
#1.......BMW Isetta http://www.microcarmuseum.com/tour/bmwisetta250.html. This car IMO is absolutely HILARIOUS........like no other car ever built.
#2......Messerschmitt KR200 http://www.microcarmuseum.com/tour/m...00-1955ir.html ......almost as hilarious as the Isetta.
#3......Corbin Sparrow http://www.microcarmuseum.com/tour/corbin-sparrow.html
Also right behind.
If you guys have anything you think is even more hilarious, let's see it........

Mmarshall, great minds think alike. I had the Isetta on my mind before I even clicked the link. That Sparrow thing, there's a guy near UW that drives one all the time and I had no idea what it was until right now. Thanks for the link.
Personally I don't think it gets any worse than the Isetta. Maybe that Chrysler turbine powered dual cockpit space ship thingy is close but I still give the nod the BMW.

All three of those "cars" were Germany post war products. I am not mistaken, the BMW dosen't even have a reverse gear.
Its kind of sad how the Messerschmitt went from pioneering jet fighters to three wheel cars.
Also, to me dosen't the Ridgeline look kind of similar to the Chevy Avalanche?

Messerschmitt was forbidden to pursue its wartime aircraft industry by the agreement that ended WWII and partitioned Germany....so was BMW.

my bad, you are correct. But I was referring to the BMW and the Messerschmitt.
I think it is kind of crazy though they had the leading technolgy in turbine mechanics. Then they were reduced to making three wheeled wonders for the war destroyed Germany.

Imagine what kind of a car Douglas or Boeing would have made if they made cars....

Any of the cars in the Smart line up come to mind
I'm not sure if this made it to production but definately odd.

This flying car was designed by Canadian engineer Paul Moller. It could reach speeds of 600km but he has to keep it tethered to a crane during test flights because he doesn't have a license to fly it.
