Smile Annual Driving Events: Lexus, Mercedes & BMW

I went to both a BMW and Mercedes driving event last year and was invited to a Lexus one. The events are basically tracks set up to drive the manufacturers cars, taste different food from sponsors and compare the manufacturer's cars against competitors. I was curious if anyone is aware of any other "auto tours" like these?

The ones I know of that have occured in the past are:

1. BMW Ultimate Driving Experience Tour (2004)

2. Love Mercedes Tour (2004)

3. Lexus Taste of Luxury Tour (2004)

The only event like the above that I know of for 2005 that has been announced is the
M-Class Road Rally by Mercedes

Please list any other events you've been to in the past or know of that may be coming up.

Thanks!

I went to a Mercedes drive event last year called the "C-Spot" Drive Party. Showcases all C-class models available for test drives around the parking lot, as well as the other Benz model vehicles for eye candy. Food and drink were on the house, and there were other vendor booths selling products and services.

Also 2 years ago, I went to a Lexus driving event called "Luxury Redefined", which unleashes various luxury SUV's of different platforms which you get to test drive through different terrains and conditions. It's a one of a kind event, and pretty interesting overall. Here's a snapshot I took at the event I went to (in Greenwich CT):

Default GM event?

Do you have a Web link to the GM one you went to? I'm trying to compile a list of all the links so people can check them this year to see if they have the event in 2005 (or the future)?

Thanks.

I went to the GM one last year and I am signed up for the M Class Road Rally by Mercedes. I would love to go to the Lexus one but there has never been one close by. The GM one was nice because you could drive many different cars from all different manufactures.

No problem. It really cost a lot to put on one of these so I am surprised there is no cost, but it really is a sales thing to get you in the mindset to buy a new car, even though there is no sales pressure. My wife and I are going to the BMW plant in Spartanburg, SC for one of their driving schools in May, the X5 class (My wife just bought one). It looks like it will be fun and it is not too expensive (about $500 a person). We are making a vacation out of it for the week. Some of the classes are insanely expensive, the advanced M class driving classes is over $4650! That is for 2 people but that is still VERY expensive for a few days of driving a M5!! Needless to say, I won't be doing that one!
