Maybe I should try this with the Lexus?
Police: Teen faked BMW theft to buy Bentley
SEATTLE, Washington (Reuters) -- A 17 year-old high school student faked the
theft of his 2002 BMW M3 in order to collect insurance money to upgrade to a
Bentley, police said on Thursday.
The teen, a student of Skyline High School in Sammamish, a suburb of
Seattle, had reported the car stolen earlier this week, said Michael Chiu, a
spokesman for the police in Bellevue, another suburb located between Seattle
and Sammamish.
Police in another town found the $47,000 BMW being stripped and arrested
four suspects, who connected the teen to the theft, leading to his arrest.
"That investigation led us to believe that he wanted to upgrade to a
Bentley," Chiu said.
Bentleys, featured frequently in U.S. hip-hop videos, have a suggested
retail price of $160,000 for the Continental GT coupe and $240,000 for the
Arnage sedan.
The BMW was in the name of the teen's mother name but was used as his
vehicle, Chiu said. The student was released to his mother, and prosecutors
are considering charges.

OK, so lets say he has the Bentley now. How is he going to afford the maintenance, insurance...for this thing? Uuuuuuuunless, the drug business is booming. Actually, wth would his parents say?
Never mind, sounds stupid whatever the outcome is
(Here we go again with parents buying their kids these kind of cars, unless he's some kind of business wiz.

I went to Skyline, I know the kid pretty well and was just hanging out with his sister over spring break. Let's just say his family could afford it anyways, but that's actually quite a common thing at that school (graduated last year). Funny, my mom called and told me all about it earlier.

On kid had an SUV that he took to the woods that he stripped, vandalized, burned and collected to finance his VERY fast import.
Another guy had his import coupe "stolen", stripped, burnt and collected for a German coupe I believe. Now this. It's always been a pissing test at my school and this kid used to have a sick E46 325 I believe that was the nicest at the school but I guess recently he got the M3 and now he's out 40 grand or so. Sucks to be him, but he won't get in trouble. He's got the $ for legal counsel plus he's only 17. Lucky for him.

47K worth of insurance fraud and prosecutors are only CONSIDERING charges?
What do you think, Jim? Apparantly you know the guy.
(You can PM me if you prefer to answer in private, for obvious reasons)
