I love the XJS, probably my all time fav. car. Check out www.jcna.com before you do anything. They have an "XJS Bible" that will outline all the upkeep it needs. That bible steered me away from the car Little things like driving for more than 45 mins. will overheat the engine...

oh man i didnt think it was that bad.... but ive always liked the 850 or 840ci mainly the v12 juss because its a v12 I dont like 4 door cars atleast for right now. Im not gettin married any time soon and i dont have kids (thank goodness lol) Im definately keeping the sc, but i want another coupe to go with it. Mercedes is garbage nowa days i wouldnt buy one, i almost ran into a clk because it stalled on the conduit in queens. Its either that or start on a kit car and really turn heads.... diablo kit or honda attack

I helped my father get a used '97 840CI (E31)...this is the way I would go if I was you (unless you can find an 850CSI...which is very, very rare). The difference between the V12 & V8 is only 15 HP and the V8 is still used today...so mechanics are familiar with it. Even the 840's are considered pretty rare at the dealerships...my father took his in to the local BMW dealer and they had never seen one in person...the car still draws interest.
Maintenance can be expensive, but the V8 is much easier to deal with. Check out the BMW forums as this will give you a lot of info.

That was the only thing I heard and it was a long time ago.

If your getting out of medical school in couple years I'd stick with your SC. Residency positions will not make you rich! Save your money and think about opening your own practice. You have plenty of time to dream about the perfect ride. I speak from experience! Good luck.....medical school is just the beginning of a long road. It's worth it though. Work hard and become a Dermatologist!
