one of the local Ford dealerships got one in;damn its a beaut... cept the interior lol
very rare for a car such as this to be in this area in a showroom no less
i apologize for the bad pictures; it was taken with my phone
LOL the prices of those options are unreal. Even the destination & delivery charge is ridiculous. They probably figured that anyone with enough money to dump on such a thing wouldn't mind being ripped off a few extra grands.

I agree that the options are ridiculously overpriced.....needlessly so.
But.....the destination charge? I Dunno. Maybe.....maybe not. The figures are somewhat fuzzy, but it looks to me like $1250, which would be roughly twice the destination charge of the average lower-priced mass-produced car. Considering the special way these cars are produced, the extra care shown them in loading, transit, unloading, and delivery, and the fact that trucking and railroad companies may have to have special insurance for expensive cars like this in transit, it may or may not really be an outrageous figure.
the other car I've seen w/ a gas guzzler tax is the GTO AUTO... no tax on manual though... I have no clue why... unless the milage difference by 1 or 2 is where the guzzler tax kicks in. lol
The gas guzzler tax has been around for a few years. Back when I purchased my 99 740iL, it included a tax because it achieved about 17mpg city, 24 highway. Most Lexuses, by comparison, managed to avoid this with 18mpg city mileage. Apparently, this is the limit, at least it was a little while ago.
