That's horrible...it really makes my gut hurt. You can tell that guy loved his car and had some $ and love into it. I don't care what it is, if you love something like that it's gotta hurt to just watch it go up in flames. I couldn't even imagine my baby...

Wow, I even feel sick. He obviously loved his Dub for it looked like he had a great deal of mods on it and pricey ones at that. I've known VW folks to be very passionate about their cars regardless of the car's reputation, they share the same loyaty that most BWM owners have with their cars, so I know for a fact this guy was super sick.

Saw this and read about it already on a local VW forum thread. Basicly the majority of people think the oil feed line to the turbo leaked and spilled oil on the exhaust headers. Flames away.

I think it's insurance fraud. The pin isn't out of the extinguisher, nothing is coming out of it.
Conveniently the person has a camera when the car is going ablaze.
If they were trying to save the car with the extinguisher you could've killed it when it was still only in the engine.
Doesn't a firewall have something to do with this? You know to keep fires from entering beyond the enigne compartment?
They're lucky those flames never licked close enough to the gas tank.
