Default 2006 Ranger.....Still doesn't have what it takes!!!

Well Ford has got some serious work to do if they want to compete with the Tacoma and Frontier and the new RidgeLine.

If they wanna do better than the above mentioned, they gotta stop churning out pieces of crap like this..

"new" but still looks outdated...

the Edge looks okay, though...

It might be "Built Ford Tough", but that styling's enough...

I disagree that this truck is a " turd ". While, of course, it is not as reliable as a Tacoma or Tundra, many people have bought Rangers (and their rebadged Mazda B-series brothers) over the years and have been VERY happy with them. While not being a particularly big Ford fan in general, I would buy a Ranger before almost any Chevy / GMC or Dodge competitor. My only real complaint with the Ranger is that the ride IMO is too stiff with an empty bed.....a characteristic of many pickups. And, besides, pickups are not usually bought for ride comfort anyway.

It's still built on the same old platform is it not (I noticed the ad did not say ALL new)? Like why does Ford even bother? Make it all new or let that part of the truck market slid because your only gonna sell like 8 of em anyways!

Is it just me or has Ford redesigned EVERY product, hell the F-150 3 times and the Ranger continues with just facelifts? Does it still sell that well, they don't need to invest in it?

Its incredible such an OLD truck is still sold.
