But like someone else said, the real test will be sustainability because the turn is probably longer now that the intitial rush is past.

this figure does not really means anything on vehicle ability to sell fast. It simply means the inventory position is lower.
Prius and G-class are great examples. Majority of prius and G are custom ordered cars that typically are already spoken for prior to hitting the lots. Hence they obvious will not sit on the dealer's lot.
It does not mean that G-class is so attractive and is selling as soon as it hit the lots. It simply tells that supply is tight.
That's why cars such as camry/accord will not show up on the list because the inventory level is significantly higher.

Absolutely. The Brick, I mean G-class is a very exclusive product. I've only seen about 5 on the road. I think there are only so many for a few markets and when one shows up it's bought. But there's hardly any inventory of them on any MB lot.

I agree with Amethy that that is probably the intent of the term, but I think that you may be confusing it with automotive " TURNOVER " which measures the amount of time the average model sits on the dealer's lot before it is sold. This can vary from almost nothing with the Toyota Prius and the new Mustangs to months and months with the Pontiac Aztek and Infiniti Q45.

As for the Prius, as quoted in the article: "The Prius has maintained an exceptional turn-rate even though Toyota has been increasing its supply to meet demand, said executives. For example, in April, Toyota dealers delivered 11,345 Prius vehicles, which is more than triple last April's total.", a good indication of how hot it is. Supply won't be tight for the car if the demand does not far exceed it, despite a dramatic 3 fold increase in supply.

And GS with a 5-day-to-turn rate ranks #4? A typo maybe? Still that's good news for the new GS.

it's amazing how fast toyota/lexus cars are sold at..... they sell a lot that's for sure, but they also do very very good math on getting the right number of cars here to sell. that's good to them since that's the good way to keep up the price

If your going to come in here and try to "downplay" AGAIN anything that is remotely positive about the GS, please just save it...
Now,
This is great news for Lexus dealers, happy dealers keep customers happy and happy dealers keeps Lexus happy with sales. They are RELATED, its very important.
Lexus more than any other auto company works hand in hand with dealers to keep things as smooth as possible.
