SL is my favourite Benz, but there are at least a dozen more others that's more beautiful, mostly the exotics. The side profile of the SL with the roof up is weak, & the taillights could have been better, still a very sharp looking car

Yes, those are Avus wheels and they look darn good on that SL. This is one of the best looking cars from Benz IMO. At first I like the previous SL better but this one makes the last one look like Fred Flintstone's rockmobile. Still, my favorite benzo's are the CL and the SLR. Just love big coupes.

Absolutely stunning.

With it's sumptuous styling, versatile roof, and Viper-Stomping power, if I could afford it, the SL65 is in my top 3 cars on EARTH, with only Lamborghini and Bentley being higher.

I've seen my fair share of SL500s and SL55s but yesterday is the first time I have heard blown 55 AMG V8 with my own ears. Forget the videos etc, when this SL55 blew past me yesterday while I was walking down the street, all I could do was give him a and a smile. Sounded just BEAUTIFUL.

BEAUTIFUL CAR! If i could afford it and i wanted to buy a convertible THIS would be my choice. And i dont think i have anything bad to say about the AMG version But (personal opinion) i think the CL class is just the most beautiful BENZ ever made. And keeping up with the topic i think the most beautiful car ever is the LAMBORGHINI MURCIELAGO....i have seen it person several times and i usually stop breathing for that moment i am looking at it.

BTW what Lambo did your dad own?

Thanks for the comments. It’s my opinion that the car has it all. Of course I would want a 360 or an SLR , but I'm talking about an everyday driver. Driving a SLR, 360 and those type of exotics and not practical.

This week I will post some pics of the GS next to the SL.

Also I will be posting pics of something special that blows away the exotics. Look for it in a couple days. The car I will be posting has won every car show it's been in and has been on a couple magazine covers, Later.

i agree, the sl is totally sick street car, the style of that thing is just amazing.

though i am not really feeling those wheels, look too plain
