2007 Toyota Camry Pics ?
#31
I guess I'm in the minority here in that I like the Gen 5 Camry quite a lot.
If there is any truth to these pics, then I'm not so sure I like the new Camry. The headlights remind me too much of a TL, and it makes the Camry look like a Honda, more than a Toyota. The rear looks like Lexus, and the big grille at the front has a Lexus flair to it. I wonder how the new ES will look, and will it be different enough compared to the new Avalon and new Camry.
If these pics are real, then I guess I have mixed feelings about the new Camry . It seems to be more angular, with Acura styling cues, and has lost some of that curvy smooth Toyota look.

So much TL, Mazda6, and new Avalon in there...I'm not feeling it just yet.
Recent Camry generations have always looked good with TRD body kits...Maybe it'll work for this one too. And would it really kill them to bring back the manual with the V6? I know it's not going to sell well or compete against a TL, but they could give a few stick freaks something to smile about...

You rarely saw a previous gen 7. You see the current model everywhere, all the time. At least I do. The previous model was understated elegance but looked big and squared. Looked great with a set of 20's. The current model looks elegant and distinctive, definitely bolder. And people are buying it. Other companies have noticed the sales and as always happens, they copy whatever works. The RL has a Bangled butt look. This new Camry seems to have it. I predict more will jump on the bandwagon. It means one thing, a lot of us like it and will buy it.

i do agree with u on that, especially on the SE trim, that should come with a manual on the V6 engine and the current year (2005) camry, saw one earlier today when i was at the BMW dealership, it have the ground effects kit on it with the 17" black cmary wheels on it with tinted windows, that car was hot, it had the regular spoiler on it, not that lip spoiler, that also brought out the look, but, if i dont like this next generation camry thats coming up, (which i highly doubt because i always liked camrys) i will get a 05 SE and do some mods to it, but will have to settle with no manual

I just noticed that the headlights of this supposed Gen 6 Camry look too close for comfort with the Infiniti FX45. I actually like the side profile, and the back of this Camry, and even the front profile is generally quite nice, but I can't seem to get used to those headlights ... they just don't seem to fit in my mind.
I really hope the Camry looks a bit different in production, and that this is maybe a concept.
EDIT: I guess I will wait till we see actual clear and detailed pics of the production Camry before I assume anything.

I thought that the current CAMRY/ES330 designs looked TOO close to each other.
I do agree it looks alot like the TL. Very nice change up

If this purported gen 6 Camry is real, with it's Lexus, Infiniti, and Acura styling cues, then it is a sign Toyota is moving more upscale, which is shocking, as Toyota is upscale as it is compared to most of it's competition.
If that is the case, imagine how much more upscale the new ES and LS will be . Plus, the icing on the cake is that Lexus has said the new LS will make as big a splash in the marketplace as the first LS did in 1989. I got high hopes for the new LS ... it could potentially blow away the competition, especially with a V8 hybrid LWB version.
