Default 400hp Pontiac Solstice $40,000

Talk about the next Shelby Cobra. This thing uses a stock Chevy LS2 motor to produce 400hp in a car that weighs under 3000lbs and comes with a warranty from Barrett:

You're telling me, it's got that blobby front! If the grille was higher it would be better.

A buddy of mine is a supervisor for a manufacturer that produces a vital part of the Solstice. Currently this manufacturer is trying to get Six Sigma status but lets just say it has a long way to go.

Anyways, from the first hand stories I hear and the part that is being produced... I question the quality of the final product.

Mallett is about 10 minutes from where I live... a few friends were talking about rumours of Mallett doing this swap, but I had no idea it was such a large-scale thing. All I know is Mallett has some beautiful cars, and I can't wait to see the swap done!

Why bother? 15-18 grand conversion? No thanks I think ill skip and buy the boosted version for anywhere from low to mid 20s, and spend half of the LS1 swap and have about 200-300 hp more. Sure I start at 240 hp 160 hp short but....

Im sure with the boosted ecotec 18 grand could get me a LOT more then 400 hp... suspension mods included..
