Man I tell ya, pretty soon you won't be able to do anything without someone knowing about it. Sorta creepy if you ask me.

If you aren't doing anything wrong then who cares?

None of this information is extracted unless something serious has gone down anyway like an accident, loss of life, or some other crime. And if you are innocent or victimized, this technology is on your side.

My last few rentals....
05 Subaru Legacy..... I had to try to the thing tip a little... tires screeching... but hey I can recommend that it handles like a heatseaking missile.
04 F-150.... burnouts lotsa them.... Built Ford Tough.... well not anymore. I stomped on this thing.

Too bad it would be all blamed on my dad. Because he rented it! I'm not the legal age of driving a rental either. Whoops.

mine was a piece of crap Ford Tauras I drove to Orlando Supercross. If they checked the computer on that, it would say "rev limiter overload "

If you were going 73 in a 50 you're at partial fault for speeding. It's no good for YOU in this example because you were breaking the law. If you were going 50 you may have been able to avoid the accident altogether.

Many people lie to cops saying "I was going the limit." in these types of accidents. What if it was you that pulled out and got t-boned by someone that was speeding? Wouldn't YOU want the EDR to confirm the other driver was speeding so you don't get the fault?

I sure would.

If it takes something like this to get people to be more responsible for their actons....so be it.

EDR's can watch me all they want. I for one don't have much.......if anything....to hide.
