Examine its build quality and you just MIGHT mistake it for an Accord.

Most customers don't care if it is a copy cat or not, all they care is if the car looks good. This Sonata is by far the best looking Hyundai ever in my opinion.

1SICK: GREAT article.

I driven a Hyundai Santa Fe many times, it's acutally a very good SUV, it's still a bit plasticky though.

How do you think Honda and Toyota got started in the US market! Everyone back then said the same thing thirty plus years ago!

That's fairly true for the large majority of people. This "image" would also apply to branding of which a majority of people will just skip over this offering just because it's a Hyundai. My friend included. It's a very dogmatic way to think, imo, because he won't accept that this car, or more correctly generally Hyundai, has totally surprised lots of the "nicer looking" cars on the road. I think they should look more on build quality and reliability of which Hyundai has definitely surpassed so many of the "higher end" brands in while maintaining a very competitive price.

Hopefully Hyundai continues the reliability factor that Hyundai has been building on so well lately in this offering and that would make this car definitely be a good buy as an extra car in the case that our Lexuses aren't available to drive.

allright-the L on the new GS is too big, can't deny that. I think the L logo is actually cool looking though, and looks fine in "normal" size.

It's also too big on the LS. I have been trying to find an aftermarket grill that does not have the emblem; to no avail.

The Lexus looks smooth and sure of itself, the HYundai looks crooked, snakey and unsure, it's like it wasn't executed properly with quality materials and was deformed from getting hit by the wind and road debris. The rest of the car looks smooth, then the emblem just interupts the flow cuz it looks like someone ran over it and glue it back on. Bottom line...it's all in the execution. Two people can be ask to do the same thing, but somehow one does it with more class and style. That's why you got the Toyota way and everybody elses way.

This is just my .02 cents on the matter if you guys like the car that much go for it. Yes I had my fair share of a Korean made car back then it was the only thing I could afford. OK. It's your money...and your car. Suit yourself.
