Default Windshield Crack from detailing

I just recently had my car detailed on saturday, and when I go to pick it up I noicted a crack on the front windshield from the middle then curves down to the wipers. THERE WAS NO CRACK BEFORE I DROVE IT THERE! The manager said that he didn't remember if there was one B4 he started. I told him that I did not have any cracks or pits B4 I pulled into the shop. He said he will not put a penny into replacing the windshield. I am so Pissed . Now its my word against theirs. Does anyone know if it can be repaired or how much will a replacement cost me? I appriciate any suggestions.

Depending how large the crack is it can be fixed, however you will still notice the line. Unfortunatly the Lexus OEM windshields are really expensive, around 600 dollars for the glass alone or so. Plus the labor to install it.

Even small claims court won't help. It would be his word against the detail shop. Best to go through your insurance or pay out of pocket..

Is it only florida insurances that replace the windshield at no charge?

I think either he buffed the hood when a small piece of stone or something flew from the buffing wheel onto the glass or that that small stone just left a very small ding on the windshield and was further aggrevated by the hot 90 degree sun and the cold pressure washer water to make it fully crack.
