At least three of those posts behind mine are O/T so let's keep rolling with the safety report topic. With some strain between the I,N, and L lately in the forums staying on topic is a bit more manditory than ever.

I used to have an '82 and '85. IMO, when they went to FWD...the car began the downhill journey. The '85 was reasonably nice but to me it didn't have the feel of being their top US offering. It was very different than the MX83 Cressidas which thankfully remained RWD.

Each time it came to considering a new ride, the crash tests of the Maxima crossed it off my list quickly. Very sad.
