Default Exclusive. 2007 Audi RS6 V10 on Nürburgring!!!!!(tons of pics)

The guys over at RS6.com captured this Audi testing on the famous racetrack. The Audi will employee the Lamborghini Gallardo's V10,though some people say it's a bi-turbo V8,we'll see........either way,the new RS6 is going to be a monster Watch out M5.

I'm not a huge fan of Audi, but that thing is going to be fast. I also would like to hear the car.

I hope they will make it look a lot less like the whole model range.

Even the current RS6 fairs pretty good against the M5. This one promise to be even better, it already beat the M5 on the looks department IMO even with that questionable grille.

From the pics I can barely tell if it isn't a regular A6. There's not even an emblem on it that says RS6.

I hope they'll make it look a lot more aggressive and menacing unlike the understated rest of the lineup. Most people do want the distinguished look along with the extra power.

That aside, this is gonna be another masterpiece that Audi puts out. Huge thumbs up to them.

BTW, what happened to the early rumor that they couldn't fit the Gallardo's V10 into the RS6? So they did eventually find a way to work around the issue eh?

i highly doubt it will get the lambos v-10. It just seems like that would be too expensive. Although the new m5s engine is almost straight out of F1, ya never know.

O man, they better not put a Lambo engine in no f-in Audi. They are not worthy. I like Audi, but they better come up with another engine design. I too believe they wont share engines, but the thought of it makes me cringe (not to mention all the pissed of Lambo owners and those loyal to the brand). If that goes through, it will be good for Audi, but horrible for Lambo. I hate how all these big brother companies are all trying to mass produce limited edition cars, engines, and there smaller brands. Did anyone notice what happened to Jaguar??!!

If it happens then I'm boycotting Audi.

The body styling is way too conservative/understated for a roaring V10.
Then again, Audi has always been so.

just so you guys know, it is not using lamborghini's v10

it is using the 5.5L v10 that makes 550hp, the audi S6, will have a 5.2L v10 making 440hp

new m5 jumped to a 5.0L v10 making 500hp.... new rs6 comes with 5.5L making 550.....

too bad bmw

both engines for the S6 and RS6 are naturally aspirated, and contain audi's new direct injection (FSI)

for those with more questions, the audi le-mans quattro will also be released, but unfortunately, the predicted engines are the new rs4's 414hp 317lbs ft 4.2L v8 for the starter... the second motor will also be naturally aspirated, but with the le-mans low weight and good handling. it is predicted to make a 4.1 0-60 time.... and is supposed to be slightly over $100k... supposed to be a ferrari, aston martin competitor

you do know that audi owns lamborghini right? volkswagen does not, audi does....

the lamborghini engine isnt specific, especially since the le-mans quattro concept had a lamborghini v10, twin turbo'd... making 610+hp

also, the current lamborghini gallardo motor is a v10 5.0L that makes 500hp, both audi S6 and the RS6 have different motors that make more power

so saying that audi is not worthy of lamborghini's motor doesn't make sense

Oh come on Japanese brands.....those German automakers have already made cars in the 500hp range, and I still don't see one Japanese car with 400hp!

Why would it be expensive??
Audi helped develop the engine, the more they make, the less it's going to cost them per unit.

IMO Audi had better put some more effort into their suspension setup before beefing up hp numbers by that much. I mean, look at the amount of body roll it exhibits in turns compared to the other vehicles. I know it's a bigger, heavier car, but damn!! Maybe it's just me???
