GM Announces Pricing On 2006 Z06!!!
- Z06 Base Price: $65,000
- Destination: $900
- 2LZ Package (Side Air Bags, Luggage Shade, Memory, Auto Dimming Rear View Mirrors, Heated Seats, XM Radio, Power Steering Column & Homelink): $2900
- US9 6 Disc CD: $1740
- U3U Navigation: $1600
- QL9 Z06 Polished Wheels: $1295
- R8C Museum Delivery: $490

WOW!!!
Still less than I and many expected! Definitely the "Performance Bargain of The Millenium!"
I will adjust my finances accordingly in an effort to acquire this car in @ 1 year....

CD changer also costs too much unless it comes with other upgrades.

Agreed. WTF? I paid @ $1,200 for both my incredible PIONEER DVD/MP3/XM/IPOD/TV Tuner - headunit plus the PIONEER 6-Disc changer! That would leave @ $500 for quality speakers and/or amps!
Oh well... you can rest assured I would go "bare bones" at $65k and spend less than $4k for an INCREDIBLE Mobile Video/Audio & Alarm setup.

Sounds like alot of horsepower for the money but at first it is not going to sell near that price. With dealer markups you can probrably expect to pay anywhere from 5-25 thousand over sticker. The last Z06 had large dealer markups when it was first sold and many where selling well over 60 thousand. Good for GM for putting out a vehicle like this.

Wooooooo!!!! Their a day early according to my sources, so you beat me to it, but awesome, awesome news! That is one helluva price and Lutz was right that we would be surprised (or at least others should be, I for SURE am). Wow, give it a year and I'm betting the old man's gonna pick one up.

The ultimate Corvette�the 2006 Corvette Z06�is posting numbers at the track and on the window sticker that will get attention. Chevrolet has announced that the fastest Corvette ever�the 505-horsepower Corvette Z06�will achieve 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds while still in first gear, and pricing will start at $65,800, including destination and freight charges.

Developed alongside the Corvette C6.R race car, the Corvette Z06 uses advanced lightweight materials typically found only in the most exotic supercars. Use of weight-saving materials such as carbon fiber, aluminum, titanium and magnesium give the 3,132-pound car a highly competitive weight-to-power ratio of 6.2 pounds per horsepower.
