How about I ask you when Caddy won a comparion last? I think the CTS won in R&T 2 years ago and that is the only win in like 15 years.

This guy trolls CL pretty infrequently and never has any productive input. MBworld must be down.

I thought Lexus wasn't even considered a threat to MB?

That is pretty lame to say the least... be it from Benz or Joe Shmo.

Lexus should retaliate with: "Warranties Too Short To Drive a Mercedes"

You'd be surprised how much people pay for used clothing on eBay, particularly *cough* panties *cough* underwear *cough*, although washing them usually results in decreased values.

And the LS400 was way more than a year ago. Get your facts straight.
I hate to be the bad guy here, but I got to tell the truth. The IS300 never won any comparison. It's victory was always unfairly given to the 3 series. These are C/D tests only however. They're compairing sport sedan, the IS they say is the sportiest and most hyper of all, but the bimmer own anyway cuz it was the best all around. This is a sportsedan, not best all around sedan.

How about the R&T victory that 1SICKLEX mentioned?

Did a little Google search and came up with a cached R&T forum talk back in 2001:

Well, the IS300 has actually won one comparison against the 3 series(I think it's R&T), that article has been linked in a thread in the IS300 forum before, but it won after price adjustments to the total points though.

Mercedes is the Abercrombie of cars, overpriced and it's only a status symbol.

U know, I don't know how people can doubt established people here, especially just spouting nothing with any sources.

MY TITLE SAYS "DON'T DOUBT HIM CROWN HIM"

Here is the &*&*())_ article....
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ght=road+track

Here is the exact link

http://www.roadandtrack.com/article....&page_number=1

The problem with SO MANY people is they just joined an internet forum or two in the last couple years so they think nothing freaking existed before then.

I got a damn attic full of car mags from 1993+ from damn near every automotive journal. THat is what I do, I love cars. That is way before I became a Lexus owner fan.

What has happened is the new TL and G35 get tons of props to all these 2 year old internet newbs. What they FAIL to realize is the IS got TONS of props back in 2000, when it was a 2001 model. It got rave reviews all over the world. It was the FIRST serious Japanese challenger with a RWD and 6 cylinder together. Before then it was all FWD I30/ES 300 trying to get the job done. It didn't work.

THe IS 200 debuted in Europe in 1998 btw and got rave reviews there.

We are all aware the biggest issue was the IS was not a speed demon. However, I CHALLENGE ANYONE to go back and read all the reviews of the IS and you will see CLEARLY the car is very well recieved.
